Three Simple Methods To Fight The Effects Of Diabetes

Published by Author at 2:02 pm under Diabetes

Diabetes is a very common disease today. Once upon a time this disease would mean spending the remaining part of one’s life in despair eating bland food and keeping a constant and fearful watch against infections and possible wounds – in other words, a life full of misery. Fortunately, the scene is different today.

Diabetes has been accepted as a disease that can be kept in control very well with diet planning and medication. A diabetic would be able to lead as normal a life as any other healthy person provided they keep a constant watch over their blood sugar and practice moderation in their eating habits.

Planning And Discipline Can Counter Most Of The Effects Of Diabetes

Diabetes left untreated can be very dangerous – even fatal. Some of the effects of diabetes are eye damage, kidney failure or malfunction, peripheral nerves damage, acute blood circulation problems and heart palpitations among others. These symptoms can further be aggravated by other pre-existing conditions in the body such as hyper tension, overweight, etc.

All is not lost yet. It is possible for a person to live a perfectly normal life if he or she follows some simple methods to control the excess blood sugar in the blood. Anyone can use these methods and free themselves from worry and the effects of diabetes altogether.

The first thing would be to reduce the increase of sugar in the blood. Since diabetes develops because the body does not produce sufficient insulin to break down the ingested sugar, common sense would dictate that you need to cut your sugar intake. Therefore, this requires you should plan a healthy and complete diet with minimum sugar intake. Use the help of a qualified nutritionist and keep in mind that healthy food need not be boring or tasteless.

The second thing that would free you from a good majority of the effects of diabetes is exercise. Choose anything that makes you happy – cardios in gym, walking in a jogging park, yoga at the break of dawn – anything. Waking up early in the morning to exercise can totally change your life for the better. You will feel charged with energy and your moods will always be pepped up following regular exercise.

The third thing is adopting herbal remedies which boast of eliminating the effects of diabetes from your life. There is plenty of advice floating around, which though popular you should not take without consulting a doctor. Before you take up any natural cures, educate yourself from the right sources such certified aurvedic pundits (ayurveda is a ancient science pertaining to the medicinal use of herbs; pundit means master in Sanskrit) or homeopaths who can steer you to the correct treatment and its dosage.
