Quick tips for living well with multiple sclerosis
(NC)—Because MS can affect different areas of one’s life, it is important that those living with the disease find a path to wellness that works for their individual needs. The following tips are important to keep in mind:
• If you are heat sensitive – keep cool with air conditioning, through drinking cold beverages and wearing layered clothing
• Eat a well-balanced and carefully planned diet
• Engage in regular and consistent exercise – guarding against infrequent, occasional exercise that can spike MS fatigue
• Get all the support you can from family, friends, employees and healthcare professionals
• Talk to your healthcare provider about treatment options that might be right for you
