The signs of heart disease are not always obvious.  If you wait until you have a heart attack you are likely to have waited too long to do anything about your condition.  At this point, you are at the mercy of your doctor’s and surgery and perhaps medication.  But, if you know what the signs of this condition are early on, you can actually stop heart disease from happening to you.  Even if you are already facing heart disease, it’s important to know the signs that something is wrong.  For many patients there is a chance of reversing these effects.

Heart disease is a condition that actually has many different causes and solutions.  Sometimes you do get warning signs that your heart is not well.  For example, you may experience shortness of breath. You may also be dizzy and have even fainted before.  If you have these signs, then you do need to seek out the help of your doctor who will provide you with an assessment to determine what is causing your discomfort.

Other signs of a heart problem are much more vitally important to have checked out quickly.  If you have pain in your chest, called angina then you need to seek medical attention right away.  If you have palpitations or you can really feel your heart beating, you too can be in for problems.  Another sign that something could be wrong with your heart is swelling on various areas of your body.  This swelling means that your liver is not getting enough oxygen which in turn means that your heart is not pumping as it should.

Knowing what to watch for in heart disease signs is essential to staying alive.  If you are at risk for this disease, know what to look for so that you don’t fall victim to something because you didn’t pay attention to the signs your body is giving you.
