The fluid is sprayed in the nasal cavity and antibodies are likely to develop two weeks after they are administered. Yearly, these sprays should be given in order to positively rid protect yourself from getting the disease. It should be complied with regularly to help you develop the right antibodies.

The efficiency of the nasal flu vaccine is different in children and in adults. In children, the nasal spray is effective to eighty-nine percent of its users. On the other hand, the adult population reacts the same way as when given a flu shot. If given annually, the flu sprays can bring positive effects for both the young and the middle aged population.

There are several times when administering the nasal flu vaccine is not advised. The people who should not be given the nasal flu vaccine including children below two years of age, people over 50 years old, chronic heart and lung disease patients, children under 5 years of age who recently experienced wheezing, those who are taking aspirin, people who are affected with rare diseases of the nervous system, those who are pregnant and lastly those who have severe allergy reactions to eggs or other nasal spray vaccines. Other than these factors, the rest of the population can have their vaccines administered through the nasal cavity.

The Side Effects Of The Nasal Flu Vaccine

There are several side effects when you administer the nasal flu vaccine. Just like regular flu shots, the older population can experience runny rose, sore throat, headache and coughing. The children can have fever, irritability, wheezing, vomiting, headaches, muscle pains and sore throat. If adults use nasal sprays, then fever would not be a problem for them.

The Costs Of The Nasal Flu Vaccine

If you want to know about the flu vaccine cost, compare different brands. Some offer lower prices while other brands tend to be more expensive. As long as the drug is potent, the costs do not actually matter. What matters most is for the nasal flu vaccine to take effect and to give you the necessary antibodies needed to fight off the deadly influenza virus. It is also important to have your shot or nasal spray every year so that full protection against the virus will be given. Without regular shots, you will be susceptible to acquiring the disease.
