A Symptom Of Women’s Heart Disease You Should Know About

Published by Jennifer at 3:30 pm under Heart Disease

The symptom of women’s heart disease that is one of the most troubling is that of angina; which is a pain in the chest.  Yet, this is not the only symptom that should concern you.  Heart disease has many different types of symptoms.  Each type of heart disease itself can have something even more unique.  It can be difficult to pinpoint one symptom that is more important for women to take into consideration than another.  Yet, the bottom line is that you will need to seek out the care of your doctor if you have any of these symptoms.

Angina is one symptom to be worried about.  It can mean that the heart is struggling to pump and that the valves in your heart are falling in on each other.  Or, you could have too much blockage in them causing the heart to be unable to pump blood through them.  When you feel this type of pain, you are already facing a real, life threatening problem.

Yet there are other symptoms of heart disease in women that come on before this that will allow you to have enough time to actually get help.  For example, if you feel breathless or you can’t catch your breath from doing any type of physical activity, this can be a symptom of heart disease.  If you are fatigued even through you feel like you have slept well all night, this too can be a sign of a problem.  Dizziness, fainting, palpitations or a heart beat that you can feel are also signs that something could be wrong with your heart.

As women, you should have a heart check up done yearly once you hit the age of 65.  Yet, before this, you should talk with your doctor to determine the best possible solution for your symptoms.  Indeed, catching your symptoms now will allow for the best results in treatment.
